Phillip Lowe replaces Glenn Stevens as RBA governor - BBG

Bloomberg reporting news from the Australian Financial Review, citing the Australian Treasurer Scott Morrison has named Lowe as the next RBA governor to replace the retiring Stevens when he steps down in September after 10 years in the post. Lowe's appointment comes with a 7-year term.

RBA board member John Edwards will be replaced by Ian Harper. A new deputy governor will be announced in H2 2016.

Oliver Harvey, Macro strategist at Deutsche Bank, suggests that the EUR/GBP is their top scoring currency pair in G10 and is highly trending to the topside and is not at all stretched on both RSI and risk reversal metrics, suggesting the move should be followed.
