UK PM May spokesman: UK will not be joining a customs union after Brexit
The UK Prime Minister Theresa May's spokesman, in daily briefing to reporters, said that Britain will not be joining a customs union after Brexit
• Government position on customs arrangements remains as set out last summer
• Looking forward to constructive discussion with EU's Tusk this Thursday
• Will hold cabinet meeting on Thursday ahead of Friday's speech to EU
The comments came in response to the UK Labour Party Jeremy Corbyn's earlier comments to form a new and comprehensive UK-EU customers union to ensure tariff-free trade.
