EUR/CHF struggles below 1.2180 resistance
FXStreet (Moscow) - EUR/CHF dropped to 1.2179 after opening at 1.2284, the bearish momentum is still strong
No luck at 1.2200 resistance
EUR/CHF poked at 1.2200, but the resistance proved to be too strong and the cross retraced back to 1.2180. On one hand it is hard for the cross to move higher as European markets are nervous about the situation in Ukraine and tend to buy safe Swiss currency. On the other hand, verbal interventions from SNB limit their desire to push EUR/CHF much lower. The cross is again below 1.2280, though while the pivotal support level of 1.2150 is intact the cross will continue to oscillate within its recent range.
What are today’s key EUR/CHF levels?
Today's central pivot point can be found at 1.2181, with support below at 1.2158, 1.2134 and 1.2111 with resistance above at 1.2205, 1.2228 and 1.2252. Hourly Moving Averages are bullish, with the 200SMA at 1.2180 and the daily 20EMA at 1.2183. Hourly RSI is bullish at 65.
